First Christian has an active and vibrant music program under the direction of Dana Lobaugh.
Chancel Choir is a volunteer adult choral ensemble which includes college choral scholarship recipients (see the Choral Scholarship Program). The Chancel Choir sings in our 10:45 worship service most Sundays and occasionally in the 8:30 worship service. This capable ensemble also joins other local choirs once or twice each year to present major works or special worship services. Join us in praising God and sharing God's message through wonderful music selections from a variety of styles and resources.
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 7:30-9 p.m. and Sunday mornings, 10:20-10:40 a.m.
Ring of Glory
This adult handbell ensemble rings about once each month in worship. Training is available for anyone interested in learning to ring handbells.
Rehearsals: alternate Sunday evenings, 6:30-7:30 p.m., and Sunday mornings, 9:30-10:00 a.m. in the Bell Room.
This ensemble leads contemporary praise & worship songs during the 10:45 worship service each Sunday. Rehearsals: approximantly one Saturday afternoon per month.
Joyful Noise is a women's sextet which sings about once each month in worship. Joyful Noise also enjoys singing once or twice each year at a local retirement or nursing center. Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 6:30-7 p.m. in the Choir Room.
Voice of Triumph
Voice of Triumph is a men's quartet which sings in worship about once each month.
Rehearsals: Wednesdays from 7-7:30 p.m. in the Choir Room.
