We have an active youth program here at First Christian for youth in grades 6-12. We gather several times each week for fun, fellowship, study (and food)!
We meet for Youth Groups Sunday nights 5:30-7:30pm most Sundays unless it is a holiday week or we have participated in a special event/ retreat that weekend. We play games, have faith discussions, eat together, and plan upcoming youth events. Youth Groups plan and lead mission trip fundraisers, special worship services, service projects, and serve in a variety of ways around the church. The Youth Groups also hold lock-ins, go out for meals together, hold a variety of fun outings, and gather with youth from other churches for fun & fellowship.
Our Logos Ministry is a mid-week opportunity for youth and children. Logos provides an opportunity for children and youth to interact with church, caring adults, and peers mid-week during the middle of the school week routines. It is a great place to invite friends also. Logos is for K- 8th grades, but each age group has separate activities geared just for them, surrounding a combined dinner time. Logos is based on Acts 2:42, "So they devoted themselves to the Apostles' teaching, fellowship, prayers, and the breaking of bread." So each Wednesday we base our time together around four parts. Study, fun, a shared meal around tables, and prayer. Click here for more details.
Wednesday Night PAUSE
Each Wednesday night the High School Youth from First Christian and Northwest Christian Church meet for a variety of games, service activities, faith discussions and a meal. CYF Wednesday Nights is a great place for High School Youth to PAUSE the middle of their busy week to share, have fun, and learn.
